Qualifications/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull products weighing up to fifty pounds out of confined spaces and occasionally having to lift products overhead
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and other physical requirements as needed
- Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical exam
- 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience minimum
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot and repair machinery issues
- Pneumatics & Programmable Logic Controllers Experience
- HVAC experience preferred
- Ammonia experience preferred
- Electrical experience preferred (3 phase 480 volt systems)
- Hydraulic experience preferred
- Basic welding skills preferred (Mig/Tig/Stick)
- Set up and change out of various machine lines
- Ability to read and follow blueprints
- Plumbing skills
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Strong team player
- Communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills are a must.
- Diagnose mechanical problems quickly and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Maintain high speed processing equipment, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installation of equipment.
- Adjust and repair packaging equipment as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Interface with Operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant reliability.
- Work with both Outside Contractors and Plant Operations to ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Other responsibilities as requested.
- Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to read and speak English for safety purposes.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Trade school completion for Electrical is a plus
