Location: St. Louis

Machine Operators (12 Hour Shifts – DAYS & NIGHTS)

Title: Machine Operator (Injection Mold)

Location: St. Louis, MO

Shifts: 12-hour Days and 12-hour Nights

Pay: $23‑$26 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 (distributed $500 at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year)

Job Overview

Sterling Engineering is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions serving a wide range of industries. The Machine Operator supports daily production operations while ensuring safety, quality, and food compliance standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor assigned production lines to meet daily production and quality standards.
  • Communicate with prior shift operators regarding equipment performance and issues.
  • Adjust machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and document equipment changes.
  • Conduct quality checks on containers and maintain accurate production documentation.
  • Monitor raw material levels and maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Support food safety compliance by ensuring sanitary conditions and reporting issues.
  • Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hours meetings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing, plastics, or packaging experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on concrete floors for extended periods.
