Position Overview: The Production Manager will oversee and manage the manufacturing operations of Perio Protect dental medical devices, ensuring efficient, high-quality production in compliance with regulatory standards. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining quality control, managing production teams, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning & Management
    • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals and deadlines.
    • Monitor daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
    • Coordinate with lab and production leadership to maintain an uninterrupted production flow.
    • Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimization.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Manage, train, and motivate production staff to ensure a skilled, productive workforce.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, best‑in‑class processes, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide feedback in performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Ensure production processes adhere to regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines for medical devices.
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with all quality standards and address any quality issues promptly.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to maintain high‑quality output.
  • Resource Management
    • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and other resources needed for production.
    • Manage the maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
    • Implement cost‑effective strategies to optimize the use of resources while maintaining high production quality.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure that safety protocols are followed, and that all team members are trained in workplace safety.
    • Implement risk management strategies to prevent incidents and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 5‑7 years of experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, GMP) specific to medical devices.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing production operations effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Proficient in production management software and tools, with experience in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and walking throughout the shift
  • Manual dexterity required for handling products and equipment
Work Environment
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing or warehouse setting
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations typical of production and storage areas
  • Must comply with all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be required to meet production deadlines
