Job ObjectiveMaintain and develop processes to increase machine efficiencies and improve profits for Lyons Blow Molding. Responsible for providing the overall process design and measures for improvement of manufacturing, thereby increasing productivity and improving manufacturing costs. Duties also include maintaining and repairing process equipment, test materials and products for quality, and monitor production processes for improvement.
Job DescriptionAssists Technical Manager to ensure adherence to the Preventive Maintenance Program. Assists Plant Engineer as required for New Product Qualification (currently focusing on efforts maintenance vs. process engineering). Collaborates with Maintenance and Production on the implementation of new systems and processes to limit the reoccurrence of non-conforming products. Provide input on new jobs and running in new molds. Track and measure all production improvement processes with Plant Engineer.
Implement continuous improvements in the Machine Shop for added mold performance. Displays competency at Process Tech level (completes necessary training to demonstrate capability at that level). Required to perform production duties as needed. o Machine troubleshooting o Job change-overs Collaborate with Plant Engineer on machine enclosure project. Assist Plant Engineer in daily variable studies and process improvement projects. Assist Plan Engineer in production and maintenance management.
Participate in the maintenance coverage program as required. Perform plant-wide conveyor analysis project. Closely monitor spending budget, quality, and safety to ensure the plant is meeting established targets. Monthly Review of KPI's with LBM team. Assist in training Operators and Machine Tenders.
