Overview

Join to apply for the Project Material Coordinator role at Nooter/Eriksen, Inc. in Fenton, MO. This role is part of the Projects Team and is focused on ensuring supply quality standards are met for every project. The position is hybrid depending on business needs.

In The Life

The Project Material Coordinator interfaces with suppliers after a purchase order is issued to coordinate in compliance with PO requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determine when a supplier is in breach of the purchase order and/or predict when a supplier may breach.
  • Decide when travel is necessary to expedite a supplier to avoid late delivery.
  • Prioritize multiple purchase orders for optimal project performance.
  • Determine the level and function of additional people to involve in decisions.
  • Maintain continuous contact with suppliers to verify status and delivery; obtain schedules; communicate with Projects, Scheduling, Logistics, QA, Engineering and the PM on project issues.
  • Visit suppliers to review potential problem areas or concerns; advise on changes to improve/optimize delivery.
  • Create and maintain material tracking logs (fabrication status, delivery status, MTRs, documentation) for all POs on the assigned project.
  • Run Tag Up meetings and provide general PO reviews for delivery and document requirements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve department policies, procedures, and supporting systems; maintain knowledge of fabrication techniques and procedures.
  • Travel up to 15% (domestic and international; some weekend/holiday overlap).
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience with design/fabrication/manufacturing exposure.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; highly professional, organized, and a trustworthy team player. Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
  • Travel up to 15% (as stated).
