Plant Electrician

Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge's employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm. One on-call week per rotation.

$31.49 an hour

• Plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480
  
  VAC or less, variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems)
• Perform general electrician tasks including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
• Follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
• Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
• Maintain electrical switch gear
• Lay out and install conduit
• Other duties as assigned

• PLC experience preferred
• HVAC experience preferred
• Working knowledge of thermography
• Good written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
• Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  
  Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Associate degree and/or technical certification preferred
• 3 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
