Sr Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (Incentive Compensation)
Manage the strategy, governance, and execution of incentive compensation programs. Oversee plan design support, calculation accuracy, education and compliance while driving automation and continuous improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and manage a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee strategy and execution of incentive compensation programs; provide recommendations to leadership.
- Drive ongoing evaluation of plan effectiveness, ensuring plan design aligns to business strategy and drives desired outcomes.
- Oversee plan‑approval workflows, including escalations for non‑standard plans, pro‑forma modeling, and routing to leadership where required.
- Own the incentive lifecycle: eligibility, pro forma analysis, approvals/workflows, plan creation, calculation, quality checks, and payout; ensure on‑time, accurate payments under tight deadlines.
- Oversee monthly close week and year-end processes, including plan calculations, reporting, forecasting, journal entry accuracy, reconciliations and audit readiness.
- Lead ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business decisions and deliver transparency to leaders.
- Act as the enterprise subject‑matter expert and escalation point for incentive plan questions; provide training for leaders and participants. Be able to deliver insights and explain plan components as well as results on company financials.
- Lead change management for plan launches and system/process changes (enablement, comms, and measurement).
- Champion automation and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team; set goals, manage capacity, and create growth opportunities while fostering a high‑standards, service‑oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in incentive compensation or related fields, including people leadership.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with IC platforms (Xactly), HR systems (Workday), Financial reporting (One Stream), and Power BI.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail.
