Facilities Tech

Summary
The Facilities Tech works closely with the Facilities Director in the day-to-day building & grounds maintenance needs of Faith Church.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow work plans & checklist as directed by the Facilities Director to accomplish the objectives and goals for the Facilities maintenance needs
• Responsibilities include the routine maintenance of all buildings, grounds, church owned vehicles, all related equipment, systems, and supplies
• Lead construction initiatives
• Build a volunteer team culture that builds value and worth
• Assist Supervisor with all regular inspections, certifications, and records required by State and Local Governments, including OSHA, and verify are maintained and up-to-date
• Receives and tracks work orders
• Maintains records related to maintenance, preventative maintenance, and special projects
• Special Events - Responsible to assist in event site setup and tear down and other essential functions as directed by Facilities Director
• Ability to understand and keep current:
  Facility Maintenance Logs, Checklist & Daily work log.
• 24 hour availability for snow removal
• Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

Operate church vehicles in a safe manor and ability to be covered under our insurance.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, and the general public

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and includes all aspects of the building and grounds maintenance.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 80-100 lbs

Move quickly and up to a minimum of 10 miles a day

Ability to distinguish colors

Ability to work outside for extended amount of time in all seasons for landscaping, flower care, and snow removal

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will rotate every other week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities).

These hours can/will fluctuate.

Thursday: 9:00am-5:30pm
Friday: OFF
Saturday: OFF

Travel
Campus to campus local travel will be expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

Level of experience:
Novice (limited experience) minimum;
Intermediate (practical application) or above preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

Working knowledge of the following systems: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, General Construction, and Irrigation Systems

Experience in building maintenance, construction, automotive repair is helpful
