AboutThe Role
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of assigned building systems and equipment within our outpatient medical facilities. This hands-on role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our properties—directly supporting an exceptional experience for our healthcare tenants, patients, and visitors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general property maintenance and upkeep, as well as other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Complete maintenance and repair work orders using work order software
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues safely and efficiently
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts
- Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding building needs
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Support the Supervisor/Property Manager in monitoring building operations and vendor performance
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance experience; preferably in healthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environments
- Certifications such as Universal CFC, HVAC, or Electrical license preferred
- Must be located in the St. Louis, MO area with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotation
- You will need to be in office 5 days a week
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking
- Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order software
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

The estimated base salary range for this role is $58,000 - $74,000. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and other wellness benefits under applicable plan terms.
