Maintenance Technician

Summary

Missouri Baptist University is look to hire two (2) Maintenance Technicians. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of campus buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role support the university's education mission by providing a safe, clean and functional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct regular checks on equipment for preventative maintenance and performs daily maintenance of the interior and exterior of campus buildings to include painting, maintenance of roofing, fixtures, or furniture . Performs minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.

Work with other maintenance staff and contractors during larger repair projects, aiding and assuring compliance with safety standards.

Complete assigned work orders in a timely fashion.

Ensures that all tools and equipment are in good working condition, which may involve routine maintenance and ordering supplies as needed

Work with other campus partners to ensure that campus events are set up appropriately.

Assists in various grounds and housekeeping maintenance projects such as removing snow from sidewalks, parking lots, steps, entrances and exits.

Minimum Education /Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Minimum of 1 year of property maintenance or related experience.

* Ability to complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Preferred Education/Experience

HVAC certification or working experience.
