Overview
Latitude is currently seeking experienced commercial and corporate transactions attorneys to support active and upcoming clients on an engagement basis, with the flexibility to work anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week, depending on client needs and attorney availability. This position is well-suited for an experienced attorney seeking to continue handling sophisticated corporate matters while having greater control and flexibility over their schedules.
Engagements may be short-term or long-term and may be full-time or part-time, depending on the assignment. Attorneys placed through Latitude work with publicly traded companies, significant privately held businesses, and law firms on complex commercial and corporate matters. Representative work may include mergers and acquisitions, securities matters, corporate governance, contract negotiation, private equity transactions, IPOs, and other strategic corporate initiatives.
Prior experience working at an Am Law 200 corporate law firm, a sophisticated boutique firm, or in-house corporate legal department is preferred.
Requirements for the Commercial & Corporate Transactions Attorney- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence
- At least 5 years of corporate/transactional experience within a law firm or corporate legal department
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility and emotional intelligence needed to successfully “parachute in” to meet a client’s needs
- Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills
- Excellent client interface capabilities
- J.D. from an accredited law school

Pay:
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $170,000 to $250,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance.
A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
