This position is focused on our New England asbestos practice. As a Mass Tort Paralegal, you will provide assistance to attorneys with fact investigation, legal research, document preparation, database management, docketing/case management, and overall client service. Your work will support discovery, deposition preparation, trial and mediation preparation, analysis of factual information, etc.

- Develop technical proficiency in databases, internet and electronic research, and file maintenance.
- Organize and manage files or delegate tasks to Paralegal Assistants, supervising them when required.
- Attend and participate in in‑house CLEs.
- Supervise and mentor Paralegal Assistants.
- Anticipate attorney needs and handle key duties independently.
- Meet the billable hour requirement of 1,500 hours per year.
- Deliver superior service to all internal and external customers and communicate effectively.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with clients and employees at all times.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills.
- Collaborate within a team and adapt to changing business demands.
- Produce high‑quality work efficiently and accurately.
- Exercise sound judgment and act decisively under deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and build trust.
- Lead and motivate others; manage direct reports, including performance evaluation and development.
- Asbestos/Toxic Tort litigation experience mandatory.
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a law‑related field, or an Associate’s degree with paralegal training.
- Familiarity with e‑filing protocols and online docket research in New England state and federal courts.
- Preferred location in the New England area; not required for candidates with asbestos litigation experience.
Employees receive compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The expected compensation ranges for this position vary by jurisdiction:
- California: $84,000 – $112,000
- Colorado: $67,000 – $92,000
- Illinois: $72,000 – $98,000
- Maryland: $70,000 – $98,000
- Massachusetts: $76,000 – $90,000
- Minnesota: $89,000 – $100,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $85,000 – $116,000
- New York: $79,000 – $116,000
- Washington: $78,000 – $106,000
- Washington, DC: $85,000 – $115,000
