Estate Planning Attorney (Senior Counsel or Partner) 7+ years

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid: 4 days in-office / 1 day remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive base salary (DOE) + 15% origination on all clients brought to the firm

A respected St. Louis-based law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its team. The firm offers a collegial, work/life balance-focused culture w ith lower hour requirements than most firms, along with strong long-term stability and growth potential.

Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for a mid- to senior-level attorney with a portable book of business who wants to practice in a collaborative, client-centered environment. The firm provides excellent administrative and paralegal support, but there is not enough existing estate planning work to sustain the role without a book of business. Experience in other areas of transactional work a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
  • Counsel clients on estate, gift, and charitable planning
  • Maintain and grow personal client relationships
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed in Missouri (or eligible via reciprocity)
  • Minimum 7 years of estate planning experience
  • Proven track record of client service and relationship development
  • Portable book of business required
