The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of clients through relationship building and client account development. This will be an office position in our St. Louis branch. Other responsibilities include handling service requests, identifying potential risk issues, quoting additional coverages and policies, and tracking renewals.
Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of clients, handle service requests, endorsements, proofs of insurance, cancellation requests, inspection questions, and client/carrier correspondence.
- Provide coverage analysis recommendations, assist with renewal processes, and quote additional lines of business as needed.
- Process account transactions timely, accurately, and in accordance with agency procedures.
- Follow agency credit and collection procedures and manage invoicing and prompt payments.
- Assist with cancellation processes according to agency standards, addressing both carrier and client requests.
- Property & Casualty license is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous P&C wholesale insurance experience.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office and agency management software.
- Knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverage, products, markets, rating, and underwriting procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and client relations skills; effective verbal and written communication, active listening, and attention to detail to ensure document accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and apply knowledge to achieve outstanding results.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and help develop new processes to improve efficiency.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Manage client service needs including endorsement requests, proofs of insurance, cancellation requests, inspection questions, client/carrier correspondence, coverage analysis recommendations, and claim reporting.
- Interact with clients (in person, by telephone, or by email) to discuss needs, respond to inquiries, solicit sales, and solve problems.
- Process renewals following agency procedures and remarket accounts identified for renewal marketing.
- Provide quotes to existing clients for additional lines of business as needed.
- Ensure all account transactions are handled in a timely and accurate manner per agency procedures.

- Manage cancellation processes according to agency standards, addressing carrier and client requests.
