Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Platform Engineer to join on of our clients. This role is responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving a secure, reliable, and automated cloud data platform with Microsoft Azure and Databricks as mandatory technologies. The position blends Dev Ops and platform administration, focusing on infrastructure automation, containerized runtime operations, identity/access governance, and observability. Success is defined by stable platform operations, repeatable deployments, strong security controls, and fast incident detection and resolution across the Azure and Databricks ecosystem.
This is a long term contract, sitting 4x days onsite in St. Louis, MO.

- 6+ years experience in Dev Ops and platform administration in Azure cloud environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Docker, and CI/CD tooling (Azure Dev Ops and/or Git Hub Actions).
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and container orchestration concepts and operations.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Azure Data Lake, and related data engineering/platform tools.
- Proficiency implementing and managing RBAC/IAM in Azure and cloud environments.
- Solid experience with Active Directory and AD group management for access control.
- Familiarity using Dynatrace for monitoring, performance analysis, and incident management.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault for secrets management and key handling.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Power Shell, Bash, or similar.
- Experience standardizing multi-environment (dev/test/prod) release governance and approval workflows.
- Experience implementing policy-as-code and compliance guardrails (where applicable).
- Prior ownership of operational metrics such as deployment frequency, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery (MTTR).
