Aboutthe Internship
Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) provides an experiential learning opportunity for college students interested in working with a nonprofit, faith-based organization. The Information Technology intern will assist and support the IT team in areas such as Business Analysis, Core Banking System, Help Desk, and others. Working in the IT division will provide practical experience in Help Desk solutions and inventory management, SharePoint development, data review, syncing and cleanup, business analysis, project management and testing of report requests and daily functionality.
This full-time paid internship will take place from Monday, June 1st through Friday, July 31st at the LCEF national office located in Sunset Hills, Missouri. Our program is designed for mentorship and professional development, including additional learning in areas like business etiquette, communication and leadership.
What You’ll Do- Conduct research on strategy with the PMO
- Collaborate with others on SharePoint/Teams
- Assist with inventory management in Service Desk Application
- Resolve support tickets and problems
- Assist with Data Management and cleanup
- Research and document new processes
- Assist in analysis, research and documentation for projects and new solutions
- Attend project meetings and assist with minutes for the teams
- Work independently on small requests from IT departments
- Review and testing of reports (QA)
- Support Salesforce team by learning the tool and working through small projects with admins
- Provide administration and support to the IT division
- Shadow other departments within IT to get a basic understanding of the whole picture
- Assist in daily work including contracts, success/failure messages, invoicing and other items
- Full-time college student, preferably in Sophomore or Junior year
- Completed coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related fields
- Exercises discretion and judgment in confidential matters
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
- Experienced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and problem solving
- Passion for learning new applications and tools (self-starter)
