Description
The Leidos National Solutions Division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Linux System Administrator to work on cloud-based systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operations and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of cloud-based systems.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and responding to security reports; proactively monitoring all operational systems and performing some of the more complex health checks; deploying security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; updating critical databases with new data; authoring and updating operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
CoreQualifications
- TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly (or ability to pass Poly upon hire)
- DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)
- Typically requires BS and 4 — 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 — 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies
- Advanced Linux administration experience with RHEL 8 or higher
- Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
- Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
- Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation and deployments
- IAC (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
- Automation (Lambda, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Git)
- Low-level Engineering (Git, Jira, Agile tools/methods)
- Containers (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate, AKS)
- Power Shell and Bash
- Understanding of RDS and SQL Technology
- AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Certification(s)
- Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies
- Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, Rocket Chat)
