Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Connectivity Architect tojoin our Connectivity Team. This role serves as the critical bridge between ITand OT domains, responsible for designing, configuring, and validating dataintegrations between shop floor equipment and enterprise systems following
ISA-95 standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with IT architects, OT engineers, site teams, and external vendors to establish standardized, reusable integration patterns that connect diverse OT systems(BMS, EMS, DCS) with enterprise applications (Data Management & Analytics,AVEVA PI Historian, MES, LIMS etc.).
Education· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical field
Preferred Qualifications· Experience in GxP/validated environments(pharma, biotech, medical devices)
· Familiarity with GAMP 5 guidelines and CSV(Computer System Validation) processes
· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for OT environments (IEC 62443, network segmentation)
· Experience with SQL databases and data modeling
· Certifications in relevant platforms (Kepware,AVEVA, Siemens, etc.)
Working Conditions· Travel to manufacturing sites may be required for implementation and support activities
· Collaborative environment with global IT/OTteams across time zones
Team ContextThe Connectivity Team is responsible for designing and implementing centralized IT/OT integration infrastructure across manufacturingsites. Key initiatives include:
· Replacing point-to-point integrations with standardized service bus architectures
· Enabling real-time manufacturing data flow to enterprise systems
· Establishing reusable integration patterns forglobal scale-up
· Supporting site implementations involving BMS,EMS, DCS, LabX, Historian, and MES integrations
Requirements· 10+ years of experience in IT/OT integration,industrial automation, or manufacturing systems
· Hands-on experience implementing dataintegrations in manufacturing/industrial environments
· Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries preferred
OT Systems (Required)
· Knowledge and working experience with OT systems including:
· - EMS(Energy Management Systems)
Protocols &Communication (Required)
· Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols:
· - OPCUA (Unified Architecture)
Data Historian(Required)
· Experience with historian systems (AVEVA PI,OSIsoft PI, or equivalent)
· Understanding of time-series data, data compression, and retrieval patterns
MES Systems(Preferred)
· Knowledge of MES platforms, particularly Werum
PAS-X
· Understanding of ISA-95 / ISA-88 standards andbatch/recipe management concepts
Integration Platforms(Preferred)
· Experience with integration/middleware platforms(Mule Soft, Informatica, Dell Boomi, or similar)
· Familiarity with message brokers (HiveMQ, EMQX,Mosquitto, or similar)
Soft Skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication skills - able to translate between IT and OT stakeholders
· Self-motivated with ability to work independently on-site
· Documentation skills for technical specifications and procedures
· Collaborative mindset for cross-functional team environments
