Senior Cobol Programmer; Tandem - Hybrid

Sr. Cobol Programmer Analyst (Tandem)opening for an enterprise organization in St. Louis MO. In this role, you’ll join a collaborative team working on stable, impactful systems. If you enjoy solving problems through COBOL development and want to work in a dependable, team-oriented environment, this could be a great fit. Must have Tandem experience to be considered for this position.

This is a Hybrid onsite (2 days a week, 3 days remote) position. Visa sponsorship not supported. Health insurance offered!

Duties

• Design and develop COBOL programs for batch and online systems.
• Modify existing code to meet user requests and business needs.
• Collaborate with project requestors to understand requirements and review outcomes.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
• Recommend improvements to development processes or tools.
• Troubleshoot data balancing and integration issues.

• 5+ years of COBOL programming experience.
• Skilled in both batch and online systems, including SCOBOL.
• Proficient with Tandem utilities and structured code development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable managing your own development tasks independently.
