Description:
Hybrid 4 days onsite in St. Louis, MO. Our client operates a cloud-based big data analytics platform and requires a Senior Quality Assurance Test Automation Engineer to advance automated testing, data validation, and quality practices within an agile team. The role focuses on AWS-native data processing, complex querying, and collaboration with engineering and data science stakeholders to ensure resilient services. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis.

- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for cloud-based applications using tools and languages such as Python, R, and Java.
- Build and troubleshoot tests across AWS data services including Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Quick Sight, and Sage Maker.
- Create comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate cloud infrastructure, services, complex data, and applications across multiple environments.
- Monitor and analyze test results to identify patterns and opportunities to improve product quality and testing methodology.
- Create reusable test data and test artifacts, and participate in scrum ceremonies for planning and estimation.
- Execute requirement validation, integration, regression, API, performance, usability, load, and scalability testing to establish baselines and identify enhancements.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical thought leadership and partner with QA peers, developers, data engineers, architects, operations, and data scientists to ensure application and service quality.
- Conduct peer test script reviews, support defect remediation, and track status to ensure features meet requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to testing processes and mentor QA peers in cloud-native testing capabilities.
- 5 years of experience writing and analyzing complex data queries and automation scripts for testing.
- Hands-on experience with relational SQL databases, especially Amazon Redshift.
- Proficiency with Java, Selenium, and Python, including use of Jupyter Lab and tools such as Jira and Xray.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Sage Maker, Quick Sight, Config, Security Hub, and Inspector.
- Proficient with API and performance testing tools such as Postman and Gatling.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies for cloud environments is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or commensurate experience.
- AWS-related certifications are considered a plus.
