CST or EST Technical BSA – SQL – Java – API – User stories – Software Dev background

We have a 6 month contract to hire for an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with 4-6 years of proven success in technical BSA or development roles. They excel in writing detailed technical user stories with acceptance criteria, maintaining a groomed backlog, and collaborating with product managers to translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements. Highly skilled in SQL and Postman, they can query databases and analyze data attributes to support gap analysis and solution design.

This candidate thrives in Agile and SAFe environments, demonstrating initiative, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to ask probing questions to ensure clarity for development teams. They bring strong project management and decision-making skills, with healthcare experience and SAFe certification as added advantages. 100% remote.
MUST HAVES:

• 4-6 years as a technical BSA or developer
• Technical Story Writing including acceptance criteria
• SQL and Postman experience to query data and understand how the data relates to our use cases
• Ability to ask probing questions, take initiative to ensure groomed backlog for the development team

• Attend Scrum ceremonies.

Purpose:


Collaborates with the business and technology stakeholders to translate high-level business requirements into functional and non-functional technical requirements that will be used by the design and development teams to build the technical solutions that fulfills the business needs.

Education/

Experience:


A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical

Skills:

Experience with Data Processing
