We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Architect & Project Manager to lead all technical integration initiatives across key systems and applications in our IT ecosystem. This role will shape and execute our technical integration and system interface strategy, ensuring alignment with the overarching IT Strategy and the future ERP roadmap for SAP S/4

HANA. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in integration technologies and patterns API‑led, file‑based, and EDI with strong hands‑on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite, combined with proven project delivery leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the current (‘as-is’) EDI and integration technology landscape across enterprise systems and trading partners.
  • Design and recommend a future-state integration architecture aligned with the S/4

    HANA ERP roadmap.
  • Define integration patterns and best practices for REST/JSON APIs, event‑driven messaging, file‑based transfers (SFTP/FTPS), and classical EDI (X12/EDIFACT).
  • Utilize SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh) on SAP BTP for end‑to‑end scenarios across cloud and on‑prem landscapes.
  • Establish standards for error handling, monitoring/observability, resiliency, performance, and security.
  • Serve as SME for EDI standards, mappings, and translator platforms.
  • Optimize high‑volume retailer flows (PO, ASN, Invoice, remittance, chargebacks) for major trading partners (Walmart, Amazon, Dollar General, Target, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with retailer‑specific mandates and testing protocols for seamless onboarding and maintenance.
  • Own the program of integration projects—charter, scope, plan, budget, RAID, and stakeholder communication.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, resource models, and cross‑functional deliverables; lead daily stand‑ups and stage‑gate reviews.
  • Coordinate internal teams and vendors; ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery with measurable outcomes.
  • Implement change management and release governance across environments (dev/test/prod).
  • Oversee build/migration of integrations using SAP BTP services and/or iPaaS (as applicable).
  • Define CI/CD pipelines for integration artifacts, API lifecycle management, and versioning.
  • Drive data governance, security, and compliance (PII, vendor mandates) with appropriate controls.
  • Partner with ERP, supply chain, finance, and operations to align integration solutions to business outcomes.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, interface catalogs, runbooks, and executive‑level status reports.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

10+ years in systems integration architecture with 5+ years leading complex programs/projects.

  • Hands‑on expertise in EDI (X12/EDIFACT), API‑led integration, file‑based patterns, and middleware.
  • Deep experience with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors).
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4

    HANA integration options (IDoc/ALE, OData, CDS views, BAPIs) and non‑SAP connectivity.
  • Proven delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience with iPaaS tools (e.g., Cleo, Boomi) and EDI translators/VANs.
  • Knowledge of Data Ops/Dev Ops for integrations, CI/CD (Azure Dev Ops/Git Hub), and automated testing.
