Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Platform Architect to support our client in a secure environment.
The Platform Architect will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, specifically Platform as a Service (PaaS) products, with a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and services. As a Platform Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure‑based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and compliance with classified requirements. The role focuses on designing and building out PaaS environments, migrating from on‑prem or legacy clouds, and providing technical guidance to architects and engineers.
The successful applicant will grow their skills, work with an entrepreneurial team, and partner across functions to build CGS capabilities.
Job Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain complex cloud and infrastructure solutions that meet government requirements.
- Develop and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain compliance with classified infrastructure requirements.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise in platform design, solutioning, and troubleshooting.
- Lead large‑scale cloud migrations.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions.
- Mentor and guide architects and engineers.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend adoption.
- Expertise with Terraform, ARM, Ansible, Power Shell, Bash, and Python.
- Expertise with containerized applications and orchestration.
- Collaborate with multi‑functional teams to design secure, reliable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with DOD STIG compliance.
- Maintain documentation related to cloud architecture solutions.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must have an active Top‑Secret clearance or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in complex cloud IT/infrastructure environments.
- Extensive experience in IaaS products with deep cloud knowledge.
- Experience working with the DOD or other federal government environments.
- Active certifications:
Azure Solution Architect, Azure Security Engineer.
- High adaptability and flexibility while handling responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and creative thinking.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment and provide hands‑on support.
- Experience with Linux or Windows COTS applications.
- Experience with automated testing tools (pytest, unittest, Selenium, Postman, Terratest).
