Team OverviewAs a Software Engineer on the Client Engagement - Appointment and Reviews team, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and evolving a high‑impact branch‑facing application that empowers financial advisors to deliver personalized investment strategies with speed, clarity, and confidence.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and support Java FW4 applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate design vision into reality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues under pressure and in real time.
- Collaborate with the SRE group to mature the application observability and monitoring.
- Unit‑test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Monitor and help junior engineers on the team.

Hiring Minimum: $101,700
Hiring Maximum: $173,200
Skills / Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, telecommunications or engineering preferred or related work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to Java, Spring Boot, full‑stack development.
- React UI experience is a plus.
- Ability to develop system designs within area of expertise.
- Ability to perform analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility, costs, benefits.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to align objectives with the overall firm strategy.
- Able to create a strong team environment and build technical skills through.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects.
Current INTERNAL home‑based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home‑based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home‑based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on‑site work.
* Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
