Role SummaryAs a Site Reliability Engineer you will coordinate activities within the team and apply technology expertise to support the development of products. You will be an enabler for cloud migration, conducting architectural reviews, operational testing, and configuring observability dashboards. Your work will span the entire service lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Implement, tune, and administer data layers and infrastructure, proposing system improvements.
- Improve services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide pre‑launch support through system design consulting, software platform development, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Lead availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning, building automation to prevent recurring problems and automate responses to non‑exceptional conditions.
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and system health.
- Handle incident response sustainably.
- Scale systems through automation and advocate for changes that enhance reliability and velocity.
- Write highly optimised and accurate code for LSEG products and solutions.
- Continuously build and apply domain knowledge related to workflows, data pipelines, policies and constraints.
- Support essential processes while ensuring high quality standards are met.
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Object‑Oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Go.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Hands‑on experience with a cloud platform:
Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Experience with Dev Ops concepts and practices.
- Experience with algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing and alerting.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of identity and access management and application security.
We use Datadog and Big Panda for observability, Terraform for cloud infrastructure, and Entra
ID for IAM solutions, but we welcome expertise with other tools.
