Manager of Data and Analytics – Contract to Hire – Hybrid in St. Louis, MO

You understand the power of data, and you know how to structure it in a way that makes any organization smarter. More importantly, you’re passionate about how the data you shape makes human lives better…a noble mission these days.

We’ve been asked to identify an individual that is part data analyst, part business analyst, and part project manager. You’ll join a nonprofit organization that for many years has helped shape young lives and families, and needs your expertise to help them touch even more lives. You’ll be their first ever in-house data leader, and you be responsible for data strategy, management, and analytics;

serving as data management and data analytics subject matter expert and helping departments to manage their data and support their analytics needs. There are no direct reports – it’s you and your ideas and skills. You’ll strategize while being hands‑on and working with a vendor partner for implementation. In time, you can begin to build an in‑house team that will eventually transition them into a true data‑driven status.

$/yr - $/yr

The contract phase of the role will be short (likely 3‑4 months), after which you will convert to permanent employee status with our client. During the contract phase, you’ll work 40 hours per week, paid hourly, and once you convert to permanent status, you have a salary in the 110‑120k range plus benefits. You’ll report directly to the CFO.

Hybrid onsite at their St. Louis HQ 1–3 days per week (flexible).

• Must currently reside in the St. Louis area.
• At least 5 years of enterprise data experience.
• Expert level SQL, Python, or R experience along with data analytics, data strategy, and data mapping.
• ETL, Tableau, or Power
  
  BI are a plus.
• Great communicator who can simplify complex subjects while building relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in a nonprofit, mission‑driven organization is a plus.
