Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and support Fortinet firewalls, switches, and wireless solutions
- Design, deploy, and support Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR environments
- Support and troubleshoot traditional Cisco routing and switching
- Perform advanced network troubleshooting including VPNs, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, SD-WAN, and HA
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and standardization initiatives
- Develop and maintain network design documentation and diagrams
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents
- Actively monitor and manage ticket queues to ensure proper prioritization and SLA compliance
- Assist with ticket triage, assignment, escalation paths, and workflow optimization
- Ensure high-quality ticket documentation, resolution notes, and root cause analysis
- Identify recurring issues and drive problem management and long‑term fixes
- Collaborate with service desk leadership to improve queue efficiency and response times
- Provide guidance and oversight on ticket hygiene and process adherence
- Serve as a technical escalation resource for Level 1-3 technicians
- Mentor and coach engineers on networking best practices and troubleshooting methods
- Assist in developing internal standards, SOPs, and runbooks
- Participate in on‑call escalation rotations as required
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably within an MSP environment
- Strong hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco routing and switching
- Experience working within ticketing systems and PSA/RMM platforms
- Experience with network monitoring and alerting platforms
- Prior experience assisting with service desk queue or MSP operations management
- Advanced understanding of firewall policies, VPNs, routing protocols, and network segmentation
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment
- Fortinet NSE certifications or equivalent experience
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification or equivalent practical experience
