AboutThe Role
We are seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to help design and support the implementation of strategies that optimise cloud performance and reliability across servers, networks, and supporting infrastructure. In this role, you will analyse system operations and provide engineering recommendations to achieve six sigma levels of reliability and resiliency. You will actively monitor cloud utilisation, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to continuous process enhancements that ensure a robust, efficient cloud environment.
Duties- Applies the principles of "cloud native" development as described in "The Twelve‑Factor App" () through a systematic, engineering approach to the design, architecture, requirements elicitation, development, operation and use of cloud technologies and platforms for mission solutions.
- Leverages software‑, platform‑, and infrastructure‑as‑a‑service to deliver GEOINT solutions.
- Ensures optimum efficiencies for the utilisation of cloud services.
- Integrates systems by creating new Application Programming Interfaces (API's).
- Creates and maintains automated software deployment pipelines using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree programme, or up to 6 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in lieu of a degree.
- Junior‑level (0 to 6 years) working experience in government or industry supporting or leading cloud‑based systems engineering efforts.
- Experience using:
- Jenkins CI/CD
- Git Lab
- Java Script
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
- One or more Cloud Certifications
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional
- Cloud Foundry Developer
- Experience in scripting/automation via Power Shell, VBscript, AutoIT, Python or the like.
Target Salary Range: $66,000 – $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
