Decision Making

New designs and implementations, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting severe problems can be highly complex and non‑routine due to the technical, architectural, and design complexities of a network this size. It is not unusual to have multiple problems occurring simultaneously.

While standards, processes, and procedures exist for many situations, it is virtually impossible to document all possible problem scenarios. Therefore, the associate is often faced with making on‑the‑spot decisions regarding network problem resolution. Network Analyst is expected to make decisions with minimal direct supervision.

Associates are expected to be on call during nights, weekends and holidays in rotation.

Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short‑ and long‑term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short‑ and long‑term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax‑advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account.
