Position
Schedule:
Full‑Time. Expected to remain open for 30 days from 06‑Jan‑2026.
- Work closely with business partners and other data scientists to translate ideas and requirements into well‑formed machine learning problems that enable hyper‑personalized experiences for our financial advisors and clients.
- Interpret and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating solutions into meaningful value propositions.
- Partner with data engineers and digital product owners to scale and deploy models into systems.
- Act as a mentor and help teammates learn and grow.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in optimization techniques and tools.
- Collaborate on and advocate for adoption of best practices and cutting‑edge methods within the team.
- Master of Science degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (PhD desired).
- 9+ years of professional experience with predictive statistical models or numerical optimization, working with typical data used in such analyses.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, R, or Scala, with demonstrated ability to mentor others at lower skill levels.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed systems for large‑scale data processing.
- Skilled manipulating data in SQL, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into meaningful value propositions for business partners.
Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness, short‑ and long‑term disability, basic life and AD&D coverage at no cost to associates. The company offers a 401(k) retirement plan and tax‑advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA). Ten paid holidays plus 15 days of vacation for new associates plus sick time, personal days and a paid day for volunteerism.
Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program.
Hiring Minimum: $140,400. Hiring Maximum: $239,100.
Internal Applicants OnlyCurrent home‑based associates may retain home‑based status if selected. Preference for three days per week in office for those living within commutable distance of our Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO offices.
