Forward Slash Technology is a St. Louis-based provider of Cyber Security, Managed Services, and Information Technology solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the greater St. Louis, MO area. This client‑facing role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The PM coordinates all design and delivery matters with clients, ensures cross‑functional teams work smoothly together, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Projects at FST are primarily managed using the waterfall methodology, with some initiatives leveraging agile practices when appropriate. The PM manages multiple concurrent client‑facing IT projects, including infrastructure refreshes, cybersecurity upgrades, municipal IT initiatives, and digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Complete project forecasting, progress reporting, and scheduling calendars.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate resources and activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, budget, and deliverables to Account Managers to manage client expectations.
  • Track costs, performance, service levels, and other metrics for reporting and post‑project review.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations, requirements, and changes to team members.
  • Identify and proactively address potential project risks; develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Ensure that projects are executed within the defined scope and budget.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and roadblocks.
  • Uphold standards for project documentation and reporting.
  • Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration among team members.
  • Motivate and guide the project team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Establish project management processes and methodologies using appropriate tools.
  • Responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an IT or MSP environment.
  • Proven experience building project briefs, timelines, and budgets, with the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring technicians of varying skill levels.
  • Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with client‑facing experience.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (Autotask, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Detail‑oriented with exceptional presentation and reporting skills.
  • Hands‑on, self‑driven, highly motivated, and team‑oriented.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) or completion of a recognized PM curriculum.
  • Familiarity with IT service delivery, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Pass a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and federal fingerprint‑based background check.
  • Successfully complete Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) training and certification.
  • Be a U.S. citizen residing in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass random drug tests as required.

This is a full‑time, onsite position based in our St. Louis, MO office.
