Infosys is seeking a Postgre

SQL Lead Developer and this position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate day‑to‑day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems, build applications, interface between applications, understand data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & contribute to technology‑specific best practices & standards;

contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost‑effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contribute expertise on significant application components, programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guide/mentor the team during the build and test phases.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of St Louis, Missouri or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

• Experience in Postgre
  
  SQL, experience in Oracle Linux Enterprise.

• Experience in the design, and maintenance, of EDB Postgres, Postgres Distributed and AWS RDS.
• Deep understanding of EDB Postgres architecture and internals.
• Skilled in Postgre
  
  SQL monitoring and alerting tools, particularly PEM. Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace is a plus.
• Experienced in setting up, configuring, and monitoring Postgre
  
  SQL binary and logical replication (e.g., Binary Streaming, Bi‑Directional Replication – BDR).
• Strong skills in collecting diagnostics and tuning Postgre
  
  SQL and SQL performance.
• Proficient in Postgre
  
  SQL procedural languages (PL/pgSQL, PL/Tcl, PL/Perl, PL/Python) and SQL.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience in performance tuning and automation for Postgres and AWS platforms.
• Proficient in Linux, especially Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, KSH, and Perl.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
