Overview

The objective of the Solutions Consultant is to develop technology solutions and strategies for clients and ensure the growth of the project revenue stream by facilitating the sale of opportunities and providing project services through accurate proposal development and pre‑sales design. The Solutions Consultant will help grow and expand the breadth and depth of solutions delivered to clients. The Solutions Consultant is a technical consultant focusing on business solutions with an intermediate to advanced level of complexity and acts as an expert on behalf of clients and field service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Meets with national, regional and branch professional services sales teams to review pipeline, forecast, and opportunities
  • Works directly with sales managers and solutions delivery resources to promote professional services offerings, driven by KPIs and defined processes
  • Responsible for pre‑sale technical discovery, business process analysis, and development of customized solutions to fit a client’s requirement
  • Collaborate with team to create and develop engagement letters, site surveys, scope of work (SOW) preparation and integration projects where appropriate
  • Interacts with the implementation teams when needed to help advise on resourcing and staffing to execute implementation plans
  • Maintain education training standards and certifications levels in line with job requirements and advancement development plans.
  • Learning and demonstrating the benefits of all KMBS products, services and solutions for clients
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets within assigned territory
  • Maintain, and manage individual sales activities and opportunities in the sales management system
Qualifications
  • Four‑year college degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 2‑4 years of relevant Solutions Sales Support experience
  • Strong working knowledge of industry hardware, services, and solutions offerings
  • High comfort level and understanding of:
    • Network servers
    • Document management/ scanning applications and workflows
    • Managed Print Services
    • Print Optimization/cost recovery
    • Print and MFP print controller technology
    • SQL, Security, and major third‑party print manufacturer’s devices
    • Video security solutions (hardware and software)
  • Willingness and ability to absorb information via training
  • Documented history of meeting and exceeding performance goals
  • Record of time management and organizational discipline
  • Preferred interest and/or experience: print management, advanced scan/capture, video security solutions, document management
  • Attends training classes to remain current with the most recent technology
  • Pass certification tests to enhance career path
  • Working knowledge of project management processes
  • Capable of multitasking within a fast‑paced demanding environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Energ? professional comfortable with presenting, as a part of a team or independently, for solutions opportunities, within new and established clients
