Description: The Staff Applications Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's data visualization and reporting capabilities, serving as a key contributor to the Power Data Visualization team. This position focuses on the end-to-end development, enhancement, and maintenance of critical dashboards and reporting platforms for execution and historical reporting. The specialist will drive automation and advanced initiatives, working closely with leadership, Project Controls teams, and the Project Controls director.

The primary objective is to establish a reliable “single source of truth” for reporting, ensuring data clarity, consistency, and reduced manual effort for project controllers, ultimately improving the speed of data to decision-making for leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Visualization & Reporting:
    Support the development, publishing, and continuous improvement of internally and externally facing project reports and dashboards, incorporating feedback to ensure accuracy, relevance, and adoption by leadership and project teams.
  • Automation & Efficiency:
    Design and implement robust security and automation flow routines within applications to streamline data processing, significantly reducing manual efforts for project controllers and accelerating data delivery for strategic decision‑making.
  • Strategic Collaboration & Standardization:
    Collaborate extensively with leadership to deeply understand business line needs, translating these into effective and impactful reporting solutions. Work closely with Project Controls teams to compile and integrate data from various disciplines, optimizing business processes and enhancing overall data management. Partner with the Project Controls director to establish and enforce standardization, ensuring scalability and consistency across all reporting platforms.
  • Technology Advancement:
    Research, evaluate, and deploy new software applications and specialized tools, including Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power

    BI, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Office VBA, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, and Word. This includes interpreting technology and software direction to support all markets within the company.
  • Documentation & Training:
    Document all processes, procedures, and established standards comprehensively, utilizing this documentation for training project teams and providing an accessible reference for future use.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Maintain a commitment to continual education on the usefulness, capabilities, and limitations of specialized applications and tools, ensuring the integration of cutting‑edge practices and solutions.
  • Reports to the Section Manager of Power Data Visualization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related degree, and 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Consulting experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industries preferred.
  • Software development and programming experience required.
  • Understanding of software and hardware system architecture.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem‑solving skills.

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
