Subsidiary of nationwide distributor looking for a Human Resource Manager. Primary duty is to manage personnel function within the company and provide interface with parent corporation. Experience is in publicly traded corporate environment, including SOX compliance, is preferred. We are in the Westport area of St. Louis County, and position in an in-office role (no remote). Position reports to the VP of HR/CEO.
Responsibilities- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Preparing paperwork required to establish personnel files and place employees in payroll system
- Coordinate benefit processing, enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and disability and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs
- Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes
- Respond to benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes, claim issues and other general inquiries
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee records
- Distribute open enrollment and summary plan descriptions
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Ensure timely filing of ACA and AAP reports
- Manage basic office operations including reception and mailroom
- Organize and coordinate social events - birthdays, holidays, sales meetings
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Detail oriented
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
