General
Purpose:
The Spa Concierge is thefrontlinevoice and face of the Spaanddeliversthe highest level of personalized service whilemaintaininga positive, enthusiastic,helpfuland professional attitude with all guests and team members.
Specific Responsibilities:
Answers prospective guests’ questions and accepts reservations, exercisingprofessional telephone etiquettewhenbooking appointments, handling guests’requests and questions.
Checksin guests,answers questions, and handlesguest requests and questions in a calm, professional, and courteous manner.
Communicatesand describesin an articulate manner the spa offerings and their benefits,comparingand contrastingthe different services on the menu.
Recommends and up-sellsservices that fit the guests’ needs.
Recommends retail products with a command of knowledge on all product lines.
Givestours and describesthe spa facility to all guests entering the facility.
Providesbeverage service to all guests.
Getsto know all guests that enter the Spa.
Complieswithrules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility.
Maintainsspa facility by performing necessary housekeeping duties (picking up towels, cups, shower & bathroom area, vanityareaand all surrounding areas) as requested.
Upholdsspa decor bymaintainingthe set-up and cleanliness of the area.
Ensuresguestsservices are started on time.
Processespaymentsascash,credit card, gift certificates,compsand room charge transactions.
Maintainsa clean, safe,stockedandwell organized work area.
Inventories and keepsproducts and supplieswell-stocked
Assistsin all areas of the spa operation as directed by management.
Assists with special projects as requested.
Participates in scheduled meetings as requested.
Receivesvarious services that are offered onspamenu andserves as amodel for the training of new therapists when requested.
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members maybe requiredtoworkvarying schedules,weekend, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility.
Maintains an understanding of the spa industry and spa philosophy (balance, relaxation, unity, and a healthy lifestyle).
Understandsthat as a representative of the Spait is essential tomaintaina healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
QualificationsPunctual
Passion and desire for excellence.
General accounting skills (for daily closingprocedure).
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Cooperative and friendly attitude.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to be efficient in a fast paced environment.
Ability to use fax machine,copierandemail.
Excellent, reading writing and oralproficiencyin the English language.
Enthusiasm for the spa industry and all things 21c.
Must pass a background check
Education/Formal Training:
High school or equivalent education required.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to stand up or sitdownup to 8 hours per day.
Lengthof time of these tasks may vary.
Must be able to lift 15lbs occasionally.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity.
Speaking and listening occur continuouslyin the process of communicationwithguest, management, and team members.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Must be able tooperateoffice equipment such as computers,printer, multi touch tone phones, filingcabinet, fax machines,photocopiers and other office equipment.
