Overview
Position Summary
40 scheduled hours. This CSR II - Float Position will travel between different Adult and Child clinics providing clinical office support as needed. This includes greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, collecting co-payments, answering incoming patient phone calls, addressing patient MyChart messages and medication prior authorizations.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Greets patients, assisting with form completion; verifies accuracy of patient’s insurance and demographic information; provides HIPAA forms, consent-to-treat forms and other necessary clinic forms.
- Collects co-pays for services; verifies and balances receipts and payments.
- Reviews schedule for new patients, updating when necessary. Calls patients with appointment time reminder, obtaining insurance information and referral forms.
- Schedules return patient appointments and patient testing.
- Assists patients with insurance questions regarding billing process.
- Assist staff with sending patient appointment reminders and other related scheduling duties as needed.
- Answers incoming patient phones calls and directs them to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with Epic inbasket tasks, including patient messages and refill requests to distribute them appropriately.
- Assists with incoming faxes and shared email folders to distribute them appropriately.
- Assists families with MyChart account access, provides school/work excuse notes, and assistance with CHADIS as requested by providers.
- Submits prior authorization requests per office guidelines.
- Cross coverage of other office staff as needed.
- This position is in person therefore commitment to attendance is critical and necessary.

Salary Range$17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly
