Overview

Be part of a team enabling access to better healthcare at Steady

MD!
Steady

MD is a technology company and healthcare provider that powers high-quality telehealth experiences for its partners, including fast-growing digital healthcare companies, labs, pharmacies, large employers, and Fortune 100 companies. We are seeking an experienced Lead Licensing Analyst to support and guide multi-state provider licensure operations for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This role serves as a subject matter expert for complex licensing matters, with a strong focus on Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs) and supervision match assignment.

The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a hybrid role in which you will need to be located in the St. Louis, MO area; however we may consider remote for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Licensing & Regulatory Oversight

  • Manage end-to-end state licensure applications, renewals, and amendments for physicians and APPs across multiple jurisdictions
  • Interpret and apply state-specific licensing laws, scope of practice rules, and supervision requirements
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex or high-risk licensing cases

CPA & Supervision Match Management

  • Oversee Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs), including preparation, submission, tracking, and renewals in accordance with state regulations
  • Coordinate and maintain supervision match assignments between supervising physicians and NPs/PAs, ensuring compliance with state-mandated ratios, geographic rules, and specialty alignment
  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to resolve supervision coverage gaps and reassignment needs
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready supervision and CPA documentation

Leadership & Quality Assurance

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to licensing team members
  • Review licensing applications and documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to submission as needed
  • Support workload prioritization to meet turnaround time and business goals

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Credentialing, Provider Enrollment, Clinical Operations, HR, and Finance teams to support provider onboarding and ongoing compliance
  • Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and metrics related to licensing volume, CPA counts, and supervision assignments
  • Assist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and process improvement initiatives
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in provider licensing, credentialing, or healthcare regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of physician and APP licensure across multiple states
  • Demonstrated experience with Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs) and supervision match assignment
  • Proven ability to interpret and operationalize complex state regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a lead or senior analyst role
  • Experience supporting telehealth or multi-state provider populations
  • Familiarity with licensing management systems (e.g., Modio, Acorn, Verifiable or similar platforms)
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $65K-$75K depending on experience
  • Fast-paced, Fun Environment. An environment that is focused on disrupting the status quo and challenging conventional professional norms. We are focused on the results you can achieve, not how many hours you spend at a desk
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance. Also includes Basic Life and AD&D offerings
  • 401k & Parental Leave Benefits offered to all full-time employees
  • Unlimited PTO. We trust our employees to make the right decisions for the business, and we also recognize that means taking time to take care of yourself
