Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Follow monthly Recovery Coach Engagement Specialist (CES) schedule/plan.
  • Provide efforts to individuals referred to a dedicated partner SUD agency through an EPICC outreach, aiming to establish trusted relationships between consumers and partner agencies/teams.
  • Coordinate re-connection to treatment and recovery support services, collaborating with current partners for long-term engagement.
  • Provide and document overdose education and harm reduction resources.
  • Accurately document engagement efforts in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) Database and other outreach management systems.
  • Follow-up with clients and treatment centers in real time to ensure active participation in agency treatment services.
  • Document client service dates, follow-ups, and updates at specified intervals to maintain or re-engage clients.
  • Meet weekly with EPICC leadership to debrief, discuss cases, and engagement strategies; participate in staff meetings and ensure proper documentation.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

    • Ability to work well in a team environment and be flexible.
    • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
    • Willingness to work 40 hours per week, sharing hours between the hiring agency and EPICC team.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and listening.
    • Comfort working with diverse populations and commitment to equity.
    • Support for medication-assisted treatment as an appropriate recovery approach.
    • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and EHR systems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Missouri Peer Specialist certification at hire or within 30 days.
    • High School diploma or GED.
    • Previous lived experience with substance use and recovery for at least two years; former treatment service user is a plus.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
    • Ability to pass background checks or request exceptions.
    • Minimum age of 21 years.
