Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week (3x12 schedule)

• Patient ratio of 1:6

• 2+ years of experience preferred, first-timers accepted

• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday for day shift)

• Float within scope to meet facility needs - may be pulled to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED

• Required certifications: BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Must have skills in telemetry monitoring (both on-unit and remote), PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, PCA management

• Experience with CVA (stroke), total joint replacement, and isolation precautions/PPE required

• Care for adult patients with orthopedic, neurology, med/surg, and stroke diagnoses

• Navy scrubs required

• EPIC charting system

• 38 hours of orientation provided

• No on-call requirements

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

This acute care hospital features 233 staffed beds and specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical care with a focus on neurology and stroke services. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 21 patients on the med-surg telemetry unit and utilizes modern EPIC charting systems. The hospital provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support and offers advanced care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, orthopedic procedures, and neurological treatment.
