Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 1:4 patient ratios

• Guaranteed 36 hours per weekhour shifts)

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required

• Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

• Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale

• Scrub color:
Navy

• EPIC charting system experience preferred

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Will float to floors that are lower acuity within scope

• Must be proficient with titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes

• Experience with BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and arterial line management required

• Must be comfortable managing high acuity step-down patients including cardiac arrhythmias

• Trauma Level II experience required

• No on-call responsibilities

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 233 staffed beds and operates a high acuity step-down unit that serves as a bridge between ICU and medical floors. The facility maintains a 29-bed step-down unit with a daily census of 25 patients, providing comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The facility specializes in acute medical care and maintains advanced equipment and protocols for managing critically ill patients requiring close monitoring.
