AR Follow Up Representative:
Therapy Billing

Join our team as a Follow Up Representative, where your expertise will directly support the accuracy and success of our billing and reimbursement process. In this role, you’ll take the lead on resolving rejected, denied, and outstanding insurance claims while helping ensure patients receive timely, accurate support. If you enjoy problem‑solving, digging into details, and collaborating with both internal teams and payers, this position offers a rewarding place to grow.

This role trains on site in St. Louis and then goes Hybrid, 1 day on site a week.

M-F 8AM-4:30PM CST

What You’ll Do
  • Manage accounts receivable collections and follow up on outstanding insurance claims to drive timely payments.
  • Contact insurance companies by phone, mail, or clearinghouse systems to resolve account issues and update claim information.
  • Communicate patient benefit‑related claim concerns to verification teams and field staff to support accurate resolution.
  • Partner with third‑party payers to troubleshoot claim processing issues, improve communication, and stay informed of evolving plan requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement by helping refine policies, procedures, and operational workflows—sharing updates with the Billing Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, analyzing key trends, payer challenges, and department performance to improve metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Prepare and submit appeals, gather supporting documentation, and track the status of resubmitted claims.
  • Maintain full compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines in all documentation and interactions.
What You Bring
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree, or
    • Associate degree with 3+ years of professional office experience, or
    • High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience (healthcare setting preferred).
  • Experience with Next Gen is Preferred
  • Experience with Therapy Billing, Denials, Appeals, and Prior Authorizations
Experience Level

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
