Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week available

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Patient ratios of 1:3-5

• Every other weekend requirement

• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS

• No on-call responsibilities

• Float within service line first, with opportunity to float outside of service line

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Care for mixed acuity patient population including hospitalist and cardiac patients

• Potential to travel with patients to tests and procedures

• Must be comfortable with common cardiac drips (bumex, dobutamine, milrinone)

• Manage heart failure patients at risk for falling

• Care for adults and geriatric patients

• Daily census of 32 patients across 32 rooms and 32 beds

• Must be comfortable managing cardiac drips without titration and titrating cardiac drips when required

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias required

• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, PICC line management, and pre/post cardiac procedures

The facility specializes in short-term acute care and offers comprehensive cardiac services including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD placement, echocardiograms, stress testing, cardiac MRI/CT, cardioversion/ablation, and various diagnostic procedures. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
