Interventional Radiologic; IR Technologist

BJC Health Care System is hiring a Full-Time Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Advanced Modality at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Interventional Radiology Mallinckrodt Dept.

• Full-Time (36 hours per week)
• 10 Hour Day Shifts - 4 Days per Week: 7:30am-6pm (Mon-Fri)
• Call Rotation Required for Week Overnight & Weekends
• Week Overnight Call Rotation (1 shift within one or two weeks):
  Monday - Thursday (6pm-7:30am)
• Weekend Call Rotation (every 10th or 11th weekend):
  Friday (6pm) to Saturday (8am) & Saturday (4pm) to Monday (7:30am); Saturdays ) 3-4 times per year
• Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures
• Performs image post processing and circulating procedures

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.

• No IR Tech experience necessary; willing to train
• X-ray techs seeking to cross-train in Interventional Radiology
• Applicants from related radiology fields with interest in Interventional Radiology are encouraged

• Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher) or currently enrolled in Radiology Program with planned completion within 6 months
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))
