Overview
BJC Health Care System is hiring a Full-Time Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Advanced Modality at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Interventional Radiology Mallinckrodt Dept.
New grads, upcoming grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists are welcome to apply. The department highlights include opportunities for professional development and a focus on work/life balance as part of a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures.
Position Details- Full-Time (36 hours per week)
- 10 Hour Day Shifts - 4 Days per Week: 7:30am-6pm (Mon-Fri)
- Call Rotation Required for Week Overnight & Weekends
- Week Overnight Call Rotation (1 shift within one or two weeks):
Monday - Thursday (6pm-7:30am) - Weekend Call Rotation (every 10th or 11th weekend):
Friday (6pm) to Saturday (8am) & Saturday (4pm) to Monday (7:30am); Saturdays ) 3-4 times per year - Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures
- Performs image post processing and circulating procedures
- PDP program
- Radiology Leadership Development Program

- Siemens Fluoro units, GE Ultrasound, Epic
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
- No IR Tech experience necessary; willing to train
- X-ray techs seeking to cross-train in Interventional Radiology
- Applicants from related radiology fields with interest in Interventional Radiology are encouraged
- Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher) or currently enrolled in Radiology Program with planned completion within 6 months
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))

Preferred Qualifications- Role
Purpose:
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (CT, MRI, Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment
- Education:
Associate or Trade School equivalency - Experience:
No Experience required - Licenses &
Certifications:
RT in Radiography; CPR; IV Therapy (preferred)
