Find your calling at Mercy!Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Advanced Certified MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care Advanced Certified MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients.

Qualifications:
*MA Certification Not Required
Primary Care Assistant - Medical Assistant:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience:
6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Primary Care - Certified Medical Assistant:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification:
Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities include:
Support primary care providers by coordinating patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Room patients, obtain vitals, complete intake, medication reconciliation, and Epic documentation.
Perform inoffice testing, administer injections/vaccines, and assisted with procedures.
Support preventive care through screenings, care gap closure, referrals, and followup scheduling.
Assist with orders, prior authorizations, inventory, and general clinic operations.
