Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Tesson Ferry Pediatrics office in south county. The Medical Assistant will perform back office functions such as assisting in examination and treatment of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height), and recording information in the patient’s chart or EMR.

• Perform back office duties including examination and treatment assistance, interviewing patients, and recording vital signs in the chart or EMR.
• May be cross-trained to answer telephone inquiries, schedule patient appointments, check patients in/out, collect co-pays, verify insurance, register patients, and schedule follow-up visits as needed.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat office image in all interactions with patients and coworkers, including greeting patients with enthusiasm.
• Share rotating coverage of a Saturday morning shift, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., approximately once a month.

• Formal training from an accredited Medical Assistant program (graduation certificate likely).
• CPR Certification.
• PC/Windows proficiency, medical coding proficiency.
• Willingness to prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction; ability to communicate effectively with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
