Vascular Sonographer III – Full‑Time (Mercy)

Job Overview

• Provides professional patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Performs vascular ultrasound procedures for physician interpretation.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

• Education: Graduate of a sonography program or completed on‑the‑job training with a Registered Preceptor in Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Experience: More than two (2) years as a cardiovascular sonographer. On‑the‑job training with a registered Preceptor may count toward experience.
• Certification/Registration: ARDMS/RVT or ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RVS; IV certification required; BLS.

• Performs all routine exams.
• Must perform stress tests/TEE where applicable.
• IV certified.
• Performs special procedures such as EVLT, RF ablations, TCD or may be a Merge Cardio super‑user and/or super‑user for other technology/equipment.
