Position Details:
- Location: Mercy South
- Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Schedule: Full Time Nights – 36 hours per week
- Sign‑on Bonus: $10,000 available
Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care and performs duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
- Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and holds a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications: Possesses the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co‑workers who work in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
- Physical Demands: Physical demands are attached. Must push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 10 lbs.; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
- Equipment: Proficient with all appropriate respiratory care devices.
- Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
