• Full time – 40 hours a week
• Shift: 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Rotating holidays and works every other weekend

Barnes‑Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The Environmental Services Department provides excellent housekeeping and infection prevention processes while striving to provide a safe, welcoming, healing environment for our patients and their families.

The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and refinishing floors (buffing, stripping, waxing) on a regular basis, in accordance with standard procedures of the housekeeping department. May involve terminal cleaning of operating room suites.

• Performs floor care and project cleaning functions in assigned areas.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedures.
• Handles hazardous and infectious waste properly.
• Reports defects to supervisor.
• Responds to emergency spills according to procedure.
