Role DetailsPosition:
Full-Time Generalist Medical Laboratory Technologist MLT (non-reg) – Core Lab
Location:
Missouri Baptist Medical Center Laboratory, St. Louis, MO
Department:
Core Lab
Shift:
Night shift, 6:30pm – 7:00am on 3-12 hour shifts; weekend and holiday rotation as described below
- Full-Time (36 hours per week) – benefit eligible
- Night Shift: 6:30pm – 7:00am on 3-12 hour shifts
- Weekend & Holiday Rotation: weekend rotation every 3rd weekend; holidays 1-2 per year
- Core Lab responsibilities include Blood Bank, Chemistry, UA, Hematology/Coagulation, Processing, Microbiology setups and send-outs
- Generalist role with systems:
Cerner Millennium (LIS), Epic, Instrument Manager, Sysmex WAM, Cellavision, Biorad Unity, Well Sky (Blood Bank) - Lab equipment includes Sysmex (Hematology), Roche (Chemistry), and Ortho-Visions (Blood Bank)
- Customer service and sendouts
Experience
- Lab experience preferred
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Physical/Life Sciences or related field

- Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
- Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
- Reports results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.
